Hello, my name is Charlotte & I am a mixed-media artist / illustrator and surface pattern designer. 

I love to draw & paint imperfectly - in a naïve hand-style - to create a playful twist on reality, and reflect the childlike way that I perceive the the world. I am inspired by funny animals, plants & nature, vintage finds, folklore, abstract sentences & by music.

I make art in a variety of mediums - primarily acrylics, gouache, oil sticks and marker pens. I then work on the pieces digitally, to create prints & patterns for paper goods, clothing & fabrics. 

I trained as a graphic designer, and started making prints and patterns in 2004 when employed in the greetings card industry - I’ve been hooked ever since! I’ve also worked for over a decade as a merchandise developer / packaging designer, and have been freelancing as a graphic designer for over 8 years too - helping other indie brands grow.

I hope you get as much joy out of my silly wonky art as I get from the creation of it!
